CitizenSpeak to Close our Doors
CitizenSpeak will soon be closing its doors.
If you are starting a new campaign, please consider using Change.org. All existing campaigns will end with the final shut down of the CitizenSpeak site on August 15th.
It’s been 10 years since we first launched CitizenSpeak. At the time it was the first free email advocacy service for grassroots organizations. Since then CitizenSpeak morphed into a free and open source Drupal module. Along the way, we picked up prestigious awards including the Tides Foundation $10,000 Pizigatti Award and a Webby honoree award. CitizenSpeak has also been listed in the Wall Street Journal as a leading application for social change.
CitizenSpeak would never have been possible without the endless support from family, friends, supportive users and the rich Internet open source community. We’d like to make an extra-special shout out to Pablo Calamera, Katrin Verclas, Rob Stuart, George Hotelling, Aspirations, NTen and to all those who contributed financially or otherwise. We’ll be forever grateful to all of you for helping us learn and grow through CitizenSpeak.
BTW - the CitizenSpeak Drupal module will continue to be available for individual Drupal 6.x site development at https://drupal.org/project/citizenspeak. That's the place to go if you are interested in further development.
We wish you luck in your future online advocacy efforts and making our world a better place to live.
Jo and Michelle.
