Dear Decision Makers of Salt Lake City,
I am a concerned citizen of Salt Lake City, and I am contacting you to express my opposition of SLVHD Regulation # 21, section 4.5.21, No Sporting Ramps. This is a regulation which has been formed with unjust cause. Specifically this ordinance is in place for "Noise Pollution" control purposes. As a citizen I feel this is completely out of line, and I argue with great rationality that a back yard mini-ramp is no louder, and in fact often times produces much less noise than the following common backyard activities: Swimming Pool, Trampoline, Swing-set, Basketball hoops, children's play sets, or a general backyard family barbeque. Much like a mini-ramp these are all backyard activities that we as citizens have the right to enjoy in the privacy of our backyards. This being said I ask my respected officials in office to reconsider this unwarranted, and seemingly biased ordinance to be overturned. I, among thousands of other concerned Salt Lake City residents will continue the pursuit of this biased ordinance until it is addressed by the appointed officials. Thank you so much for your time, and efforts to address the concerns of Salt Lake City residents such as myself.
