Your Personal Statement
To the Members of the Montgomery County Council:
As Montgomery County residents we are greatly concerned with the new TMX zone recently approved by the council. This new zoning classification creates new patterns of land development around transit stations which fails to eliminate the large big boxes retailers now found in larger regional style shopping centers. I would like to offer my voice and opinion of NO to big boxes in our backyards.
Furthermore, I support the pending text amendment language that would eliminate large retail centers from this zone. I hope that as our elected officials that you will hear our voices of concern regarding this matter.
