Dear General Assembly Leaders,
I am writing to encourage you to pass legislation to move Rhode Island's Presidential Primary up in the calendar so that Rhode Island voters will have an actual say in the selection of the next Presidential nominees from both parties. You only need to amend § 17-12.1-1 of RI General Laws to implement this change.
This important change will bring national political contenders, national debate and lots of advertising revenue to the Ocean State. And, most importantly, the independent voice of Rhode Island will be heard and counted!
